This was a contemporary mantle of cherry and maple. It had to be built in place because of the way it was mounted to the masonry.
Red oak and marble tile.
I built this in a new house in Northfield. It's a copy of a mantel from an old house in Gill, and is an Asher Benjamin design. The turned columns were subcontracted.
